Western Leather Wallet Pattern

Earlier this year, I was experimenting with a pattern. I wasn’t sure if it would work, so I set it aside for a later date. Last night, while showing my brother some of the patterns I had worked on over the year, this one came up again.

He asked me to try building it for him – and it worked! I’ve always admired how Western wallets have decorative stitching around the edges, but I could never quite figure out how those were made.

So, I decided to take a gamble and hope for the best. When someone requests something, I usually create a mock-up in Photoshop to show them how it would look. Once they approve it, I hope for the best using actual materials. So… Here is my first attempt at making something with a “Western” look. I added the video on how I got to this pattern. Best of luck!
