Pattern Description

My wife asked me to replace her makeup bag, so instead of buying one, I took it apart and turned it into a usable template. The pattern is easy to follow and is laid out across four pages, you’ll just need to tape or glue them together before getting started.

The leather makeup bag pattern itself is pretty straightforward. You’ll need a zipper, and one interesting thing I discovered is that the sides aren’t a true 90-degree angle like I always assumed. They’re actually closer to 100 / 110 degrees, which helps the bag close properly.

If you want to take it a step further, you can add an interior liner for a cleaner, more finished look, or include pull tabs on the ends similar to a traditional dopp kit. It was a fun project to build, and I’m happy to share it with everyone in the community!

PS: I’m still new to the whole pattern building process, so the pattern is super basic right now.
