• Stocking Stuffer work in progress

My Fiancée and i are trying to do an exclusivly crafty christmas for our friends and family this year. For my part of the stocking stuffers inwanted to make cable ties and bookmarks. Turns out a Cricut Maker 4 with the knife blade does a really good job of pumping out the shapes i needed way more percisely then i ever could by hand.

      • I love the Cricut for this – I haven’t used it in a while, mainly because of the blade, but I love the detail in cutting. I mostly used it for marquetry, but the Cricut is one of those machines leather works sleep on, IMO.

        • @Shamus yeah I am worried how well the blade will hold out long term since even the third party ones are $9 each for the knife blade.

But I woke up thinking about wanting a die cutter and mold to make these only to remember the Cricut can handle them.

          • @Wandering_Goliath Yea, they add up quickly when you’re on vegtan leather. I ended up buying an xTool a while back. They came out with a new one recently called the M1 Ultra that cuts, does gold foil, draws, prints, and laser cuts on the same machine. It’s super cheap too – if you’re ever looking for a big next purchase

            • @Wandering_Goliath the blades hold up really well! Ive cut everything under the sun plus leather and still on the first one!
