spooktober contest
My entry into the spoktober contest. I used a hair on hide for my skull and a hidden magnet under the eye for the closure. The body of the purse is made of English Bridal. Thanks for the pattern!

Hardware: antiqued brass
Veg tan: face and strap: 8oz veg tan, undyed.

Very elaborate and detailed work! The eye-patch, the many skulls on the handle and the cool color-shift! Bravo! 🙂

Love to try new patterns and interact with other leather crafters

Marching towards completion
Closer and closer for the comp bag, although I keep being drawn to my modded pattern design to have interchangeable fringe for the sides, still as a no sew..decisions decisions!

Halloween-Contest
Hello, here’s my entry for the Halloween contest. The bag is made of sturdy harness leather, as requested. I dyed the head and the ring holders using the bubble technique (thanks to Saskia Buschbaum from Schwarzwaldleinen). I sewed it with black and purple glitter thread. The bubble-dye is amazing and becomes the focal point of the bag. Very well done! 🙂

dsleathergoods & shamusleather Halloween Contenst Entry by Hels (@Hide_Cycle)
I have stuck largely to the pattern for this contest but made the bag in a soft leather. I stitched the sides to secure the interlocking design and I really like the result of this and something I will incorporate into experimenting with bag making in the future. The Halloween Bag
I cannot participate in the contest since I created the pattern for it but I am excited to see how everyone will transform it and elevate it to create their own spooky version. I will be also judging the special category “Deyan’s Favorite Halloween Bag”. Here are some more photos of the original one I designed. 😊
Happy spooky…
